Car4Cancer Lottery with 50/50 Raffle

August 1 to October 18, 2024

1) Total value of all raffle prizes is $69,575.17

2) A maximum of 13,915 raffle tickets are available for purchase.

3) Ticket price is $25 CAD each or 5 tickets for $100 CAD or 25 tickets for $300.

4) Total value of the 50/50 Raffle is to be 50% of all 50/50 ticket sales.

5) Ticket prices for the additional 50/50 raffle are 5 for $10, 20 for $20, 100 for $50 and 250 for $100.

6) Valid ticket is receipt and proof of purchase.

7) Only valid tickets are eligible for the draw.

8) Tax receipts cannot be issued for ticket purchases.

9) Ticket purchasers must be located in the province of Ontario at time of purchase.

10) Purchasers must be at least 18 years of age.

11) Tickets cannot be purchased for or in the name of persons less than 18 years of age.

12) All tickets for the Car4Cancer Lottery AND the accompanying 50/50 Raffle are sold through BUMP, A Division of Canadian Bank Note, systems and website.

13) The official online website for ticket sales is car4cancerlottery.ca. Tickets sold through the website are provided to the ticket holder via a valid email address. Tickets may also be sold via face-to-face sales with Point-of-Sale (POS) machines at various locations throughout the region, starting at 10 am on August 1, 2024, to 10 am on October 18, 2024. Tickets sold through POS devices are provided to the ticket holder via printed ticket.

14) During the online and POS device checkout process, purchasers have the option to buy an additional 50/50 Raffle ticket. To purchase a 50/50 Raffle ticket, a Car4Cancer Lottery ticket must be purchased EACH TIME.

15) All valid tickets included in the early-bird prize draws, including the early-bird winning tickets will be included in the main draw and the 50/50 raffle draw.

16) The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the Car4Cancer Lottery:

  • Belleville General Hospital Foundation staff and Board of Directors;
  • The Quinte Health Senior Leadership team and Board of Directors.
  • Employees of 20Eight Digital
  • Employees of the registered gaming supplier, BUMP a Division of Canadian Bank Note Company Ltd.;
  • And members of the same household of each of the above; and
  • Employees of the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario.

17) The First Early Bird Draw is for a $2,500 grocery shopping gift card. Cut-off date: August 21 at 11.59 pm. Draw date: August 22 at 11:00 am.

18) The Second Early Bird Draw is for $5,000 cash. Cut-off date: September 11 at 11:59  m. Draw date: September 12 at 11:00 am.

19) The Third Early Bird Draw is for $5,000 cash. Cut-off date: October 2 at 11:59 pm. Draw date: October 3 at 11:00 am.

20) The Main Draw prize is a 2024 Chevrolet Camaro. All qualifying tickets for the Grand Prize must be purchased by October 18 at 10:00 am.

21) The 50/50 Raffle prize is 50% of all add-on 50/50 raffle tickets sold. Tickets for the 50/50 prize must be purchased by October 18 at 10:00 am.

22) The Grand Prize Draw will take place at Peter Smith Chevrolet Buick Cadillac GMC at 42 Towncentre Drive, Belleville. Ontario. K8N 4Z5. Date: October 18. Time: 1:00 pm.

23) The 50/50 Raffle Prize Draw will take place at Peter Smith Chevrolet Buick Cadillac GMC at 42 Towncentre Drive, Belleville. Ontario. K8N 4Z5. Date: October 18. Time: 1:00 pm.

24) Winning ticket number, and name and place of residence of the winner(s) will be recorded and announced immediately after each draw through the event website and official BGHF social media channels.

25) The winner (s) will be notified by a Belleville General Hospital Foundation representative. Such information will include information about the prize claim procedure.

26) Winning ticket number and the name of the winner (s) will be broadcast by the Belleville General Hospital Foundation for the Car4Cancer lottery through the event website and social media platforms.

27) Early-bird-draw prizes can be picked up at the Belleville General Hospital Foundation office or shipping can be arranged.

28) Main draw prize of the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro is awarded on an unconditional ownership basis inclusive of all taxes, freight charges, pre-delivery inspection (PDI) costs and dealer fees.

29) Winner of the main prize must take delivery of the vehicle as awarded and is responsible for licensing and insurance from the time of delivery/ownership. Delivery of the vehicle is P.O.D., Belleville, Ontario at Peter Smith Chevrolet Buick Cadillac GMC, 42 Towncentre Drive.

30 ) Any prizes which are not claimed will be secured or placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. if at the end of six (6) months the prize has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize will be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.

31) Privacy Policy: Personal information is collected for the sole purpose of completing ticket sales, identifying ticket purchasers and communicating with purchasers. For more information, please contact the BGH Foundation office to review our privacy policy.

34) In these Rules and Regulations, and all electronic or printed material related to this lottery:

a) “AGCO” means the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario;

b) “Car4Cancer Lottery” means the AGCO approved electronic lottery system designed by Canadian Bank Note and operated by the Belleville General Hospital Foundation

c) “Dashboard” means the Dashboard component of the computer-controlled system designed by Canadian Bank Note for the conduct of this lottery.

d) “Draw” means the random selection of a winning ticket number by the Belleville General Hospital Foundation through the Car4Cancer lottery system.

e) “Player” means a person who is eligible to participate in this lottery in accordance with the Rules and Regulations.

f) “Prize” means the consideration or item identified by the Belleville General Hospital Foundation that is provided to the winner of the draw in return for the purchase of a valid ticket.

g) “Ticket Number” means a unique numerical sequence randomly issued by the Car4Cancer Lottery as set out on a Valid Ticket.

h) “Valid Ticket” means the possession of a “Car4Cancer” lottery ticket issued by the Belleville General Hospital Foundation that is not void.

i) “Winner” means the person who is the bearer of a winning ticket and who satisfies all the conditions established by the Foundation to claim the prize.

j) “Winning Number” means the number displayed on a valid ticket that matches the winning number of a draw.

k) “Winning Ticket” means a valid ticket that bears a ticket number matching the winning number of a draw.

35) These Rules and Regulations are effective as of August 1, 2024.
