How old do you have to be to purchase a ticket?

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. 

How many Car4Cancer Lottery tickets are available?

There are 28,449 Car4Cancer lottery tickets available to purchase.

What are the ticket prices for the Car4Cancer lottery?

$25 each

8 for $100

30 for $250  

What are the guidelines regarding the number of names on Car4Cancer lottery tickets and payment terms?

All tickets, individual, eight-pack and thirty packs, must contain the same name and information. Only one form of payment may be used per purchase. Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order.

Can someone who lives outside of Ontario purchase a ticket?

The lottery is intended for Ontario residents only. Ticket buyers must be in Ontario at the time of order. 

Who is not eligible to purchase a ticket?

The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the Car4Cancer Lottery:

  • Belleville General Hospital Foundation staff and Board of Directors

  • The Quinte Health Senior Leadership team and Board of Directors

  • Employees of TBK Creative

  • Employees of the registered gaming supplier, BUMP a Division of Canadian Bank Note Company Ltd.

  • Employees of Peter Smith GM

  • And members of the same household of each of the above and 

  • Employees of the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario.

If I win an Early Bird Draw, is my ticket still valid to win the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 3LT grand prize?

Yes, winners of the three (3) early-bird draws will have their tickets re-entered for the grand-prize draw. You have up to five opportunities at winning a prize, three early-bird draws, a bonus 50/50 jackpot, and the final grand-prize draw.

I haven't received my official ticket / it contains a spelling / address error.

What would happen if a credit card is declined?

All tickets can be purchased online using a credit card and in-person on authorized point of sales with credit cards, debit cards, and cash. If there is an issue with your credit card, the point of purchase system will not allow your ticket to be purchased. 

How long does it take to receive my tickets?

When purchasing online generally, within five minutes of purchase you will receive your ticket. During times of high demand, it could take up to 30 minutes. If you don’t receive within an hour, email us at bghfoundation@quintehealth.ca or call us at 613-969 7400 ex. 2528. Please check your junk/spam folder in your email before contacting us to make sure it was not filtered by your email provider. 

For in-person sales, the ticket is printed immediately as soon as the payment is captured. 

I have deleted the email with my lottery ticket, am I still eligible for the draws?

Yes. You do not need your ticket in hand to be included in the draws. For ticket-related inquiries, please email us to bghfoundation@quintehealth.ca or call us at 613-969 7400 ex. 2528.

I lost my in-person ticket, am I still eligible for the draws? 

Yes. If you lost your in-person ticket please email us to bghfoundation@quintehealth.ca or call us at 613-969 7400 ex. 2528.

I do not have an email address, how do I get a copy of my ticket?

You must include an email address in order to purchase a ticket online. Not so for in-person tickets. 

I am not able to open my electronic tickets, what do I do?

If you are not able to open your email to retrieve your ticket, email us at bghfoundation@quintehealth.ca or call us at 613-969-7400 ext. 2528. 

What are the Early Bird prizes?

There are three (3) Early Bird Draw prizes. The earlier you purchase a ticket, the more draws you are eligible for:

  1. The 1st Early-Bird Draw is a cash prize of $2,500. All qualifying tickets for the 1st Early-Bird Draw must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025. The 1st Early-Bird Draw will occur at 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, at the Belleville General Hospital Foundation office located at 265 Dundas Street East, Belleville ON K8N 5A9. 
  2. The 2nd Early-Bird Draw is a cash prize of $2,500. All qualifying tickets for the 2nd Early-Bird Draw must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025. The 2nd Early-Bird Draw will occur at 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 29th, 2025, at the Belleville General Hospital Foundation office located at 265 Dundas Street East, Belleville ON K8N 5A9.
  3. The 3rd Early-Bird Draw is a cash prize of $2,500. All qualifying tickets for the 3rd Early-Bird Draw must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025. The 3rd Early-Bird Draw will occur at 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 12th, 2025, at the Belleville General Hospital Foundation office located at 265 Dundas Street East, Belleville ON K8N 5A9

What is the grand prize?

The Main Draw prize is a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette 2DR Stingray CPE, valued at $134,745.72 including taxes. All qualifying tickets for the Grand Prize must be purchased by June 30, 2025 at 11:59am.

The Grand Prize Draw will take place at the Belleville General Hospital Foundation office located at 265 Dundas Street East, Belleville ON K8N 5A9. Date: June 30, 2025. Time: 2:00 p.m.

The 50/50 Raffle prize is 50% of all add-on 50/50 raffle tickets sold. Tickets for the 50/50 prize must be purchased by June 30, 2025 at 11:59am.

The 50/50 Raffle Prize Draw will take place at the Belleville General Hospital Foundation office located at 265 Dundas Street East, Belleville ON K8N 5A9. Date: June 30, 2025. Time: 2:00 p.m.

Is my ticket purchase eligible for a charitable tax receipt?

Lottery or raffle tickets are not eligible for a charitable tax receipt as per Canada Revenue Agency rules and regulations.

If I win is my prize subject to taxation?

No. Prizes won are not taxable. Lottery winnings are considered a windfall and not taxable in Canada.

How long do I have to claim my prize?

All winners must claim their prizes within six (6) weeks if possible. An unclaimed prize will be held in trust by the licensee for a period not less than six (6) months from the date the prize was awarded. At the end of the six-month period, the total amount of the prize held in trust, including interest, or the value of a merchandise prize equal to the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, will be included by the licensee in the gross proceeds of the lottery event.

What happens if I cannot collect my prize in person?

The winner of the main prize must be present to collect their Corvette and is responsible for the costs incurred and organizing their own travel to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation for the presentation.  Arrangements may be made to have Early Bird prizes mailed to you upon production of a valid ticket.  

How are winners notified?

Notifying the winners will be done by telephone, email or through registered mail. Winner's names will also be listed on the official Car4Cancer website and through social media, along with the Belleville General Hospital Foundation website. Within 120 days following each draw, the names and city of residence of any winners who have not claimed their prizes will be posted on the Car4Cancer website and BGHF website. 

If I win, is my ticket still in for the other draws?

Yes, each ticket purchased is entered for each and every draw available after the time and date of purchase. 

Who are Bump?

BUMP, A Division of Canadian Bank Note (CBN), is a registered gaming supplier with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Ticket fulfillment and draw control are provided by BUMP for the Car4Cancer lottery.

What is your privacy policy?

Personal information is collected for the sole purpose of completing ticket sales, identifying ticket purchasers and providing information to purchasers about the Car4Cancer Lottery.  Information, in whole or in part, will not be communicated to parties outside of involvement in the conduct of this lottery. How will proceeds from the Car4Cancer Lottery be used?

Proceeds will fund new critical equipment and drugs responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer within Quinte Health at the Belleville General Hospital site. 

Does the Canadian anti-spam legislation affect your lotteries?

Charity lotteries are exempt from this legislation.
